Great when you don't want to keep the towel laterAug 22, 2009 We have cats, which means sometimes we have yucky messes. These work great when your cat gets into something and needs to be cleaned off, but you really don't want to keep the towel afterward. There is no guilt! Bamboo is a type of grass, so harvesting it doesn't destroy the plants - you just cut the tops off and let them grow more - super renewable! These biodegrade - there are no dyes or perfumes or anything that would be bad for the environment. You can even compost them.
These also work great for travel when the hotels don't give you enough wash cloths. You can use one or two for a couple of days, and then throw them out when you leave. These are really good for camping, too.
Unwrap them (put the plastic with the grocery bags you're going to recycle at the store) and get them wet. They change from a cookie-sized disk to a real, kind of large wash cloth. I haven't tried scrubbing anything stuck on, so I don't know how well they hold up to real abuse, but they are pretty sturdy.
I really like these. You don't want to use them all the time because that can get a little expensive, but if you are cleaning up a disgusting mess and REALLY don't want to ruin your good towels, these are great!
